Tickets are on sale now for 无忧视频 (UC) theatre department鈥檚 spring play Paragon Springs, a social drama set in a small Wisconsin town in the 1920s. Performances will be held April 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. and April 15 at 2 p.m. in the Kohn Theatre on 无忧视频鈥 campus. Tickets cost $10 for community members and $5 for students.

Paragon Springs, written by Steven Dietz, is an American re-imagining of Henrik Ibsen鈥檚 An Enemy of the People. In the play, the small town of Paragon Springs has become famous for its 鈥渉ealing waters.鈥 But the water has somehow been poisoned, causing a number of social, economic, and ethical dilemmas for the town鈥檚 residents.

鈥淥ddly enough, there was recently a CNN special about how Martin County in Kentucky doesn鈥檛 have clean water either,鈥 said Dr. Kim Miller, Director of UC Theatre.  鈥淭he news story caught my eye, and I was surprised at how close to home Paragon Springs hits right now. I chose the play because it had good roles for our current students, but it also speaks to our neighbors鈥 lives.鈥
